Repentance

Matthew 4:12-17
12.   Now when Yahushua had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee; 13.  And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:  14. That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,  15. The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;  16.  The people which in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.  17. From that time Yahushua began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the Kingdom of heaven is at hand

Repentance is the action of repenting, due to sincere regret or remorse, "each person who turns to Yahuwah in genuine repentance and faith will be saved".  On the other hand, 'Mea Culpa' which means "through my fault" in Latin, comes from a ritualistic prayer of confession used in the Catholic Church.  Said by itself, it's an exclamation of apology or remorse that is used to mean "It was my fault" or "I apologize,"  'Mea Culpa' is also a noun.  However, a newspaper might issue a 'mea culpa' for printing inaccurate information, or a politician might give a speech making mea culpa for past wrongdoings.  Mea Culpa is one of many English terms that derive from the Latin culpa, meaning "guilt."  Some other examples are culpable ("meriting condemnation or blame especially as wrong or harmful") and the culprit ("one guilty of a crime or a fault").

It is just with Yahuwah to take the gospel and the means of grace, from those that slight them and thrust them away.  Yeshua Ha Mashiach will not stay long where he is not welcome.  Those who are without Yeshua Ha Mashiach, are in the dark.  They are sitting in this condition, in a contented posture, they chose this state rather than light, they are willfully ignorant.  When the gospel comes, a light comes, when it comes to any place, when it comes to any soul, it makes daylight appear.  Light discovers and directs just as does the gospel.  The doctrine of repentance is correct gospel teaching.  Not only the austere John the Baptist but the gracious Yahushua preached willing repentance.  Today we still have the same reason to do so.  The kingdom of heaven was not be reckoned to have fully come, until the pouring out of Yahuwah's Holy Spirit.

Matthew 5:10
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Those who are being persecuted for 'righteousness' sake are declared as happy.  Many will find mercy from Yahuwah, be owned by him as his children and inherit his kingdom.  With these hopes, we may cheerfully welcome low or painful circumstances.
